The sealed part under the lid is made of silicone ring, which is great for locking in the box so it's airtight. 

Comes with a stainless steel food jar

Food Jar Size : 10cm diameter x 6cm high (240ml)

If you intend to utilize this as an insulated Food Jar, please fill it with boiling water for 10 minutes beforehand to warm it up. Ideally, food should be heated to 200 degrees Celsius before placing it inside.

Bento boxes can definitely hold thicker liquids such as yogurt however it is not watertight so it may not prevent the leakage of runnier liquids such as drinks or oils from olives leak out from the sides. (Yogurt must go in the small round section of the bento box. Not the side sections).
